COVID-19 Protocols


We are grateful and excited to welcome guests back to our property and return to doing what we love —connecting the historical significance of this property with the vineyards and gardens, the wine and the food.  


The safety of our guests and our staff remain our highest priority even as we continue to make progress against COVID-19.


We look forward to sharing a glass of wine with you once again.

Guest Safety

  • All experiences at Wheeler Farms will remain by appointment only to ensure we are able to take the best care of each and every one of you, in the safest way possible.


  • Available appointment times are staggered so that guests do not cross paths with anyone outside of their party.  


  • Upon arrival, we require that all guests wear a mask after exiting their vehicle. A team member will take each guest’s temperature before the experience begins. We ask that masks be worn while touring and walking through the property. Guest masks’ may be removed after being seated in their private venue and may remain off throughout the tasting experience. 

  • Each group will have a dedicated host. In addition to wearing a PPE mask, each host will maintain a safe social distance of 6-feet - both while touring the property and during the seated experience.   

  • In compliance with current protocols, each tasting will be conducted outdoors until further notice. Our two private outdoor tasting venues are both covered and heated, but we do recommend that guests dress comfortably and appropriately for the expected weather on the day of their visit.  

  • Before guests arrive to their private seated venue, all wines and food pairings will be served by a separate Wheeler Farms team member, who will be wearing a PPE mask and gloves.

  • Touchless hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the property: at each entrance to the Hospitality House, in the restrooms, and at each tasting venue.  

Maintaining a Safe Environment for Guests and Staff

  • All hospitality venues, countertops, doorknobs, restrooms, high-touch hard surfaces and faucets are being disinfected every hour and after each individual visitor experience.  In addition, all restrooms are cleaned and sterilized every hour, as well as before and after their groups’ visit.  

  • Our dishwashers are commercial grade high-pressure with steam ensuring each water glass, wine glass, plate, and utensil receives complete sterilization.  

  • All staff members have their temperature taken upon arrival to the winery each day.  Any team member that exhibits any type of symptoms, including a fever of 100-degrees or higher, is sent home and is not permitted to return until they are symptom free for a period greater than 48-hours.  

  • Each team member maintains strict hygiene protocols outlined by CDC recommendations, including washing/sterilizing their hands thoroughly upon arrival to the winery and throughout the day.
